Last Friday, in our FutureArtsNow! dance class at John J. Montgomery Elementary, we asked our students, ‘what’s one thing you could not live without?’
First answer, ‘dance.’
Second answer, ‘this class.’

Today, some of our students at Clyde L. Fischer Middle School proudly announced that they skipped volleyball tryouts for our FutureArtsNow! art/dance classes.

this month, i’m doing a history of hip hop club with students at the Y… when i asked them to “try and name 3 hip hop artists they know,” one answered “bobbi” and the other said “we” (spelling out “w-e” as in Huy Dao lol

During one of my FutureArtsNow! dance classes this week, my 5th and 6th graders were arguing about something on their water break. When I asked them what all the commotion was about they said, ‘we were talking about your leg warmers and if they were in style or not.’
I love my students.

Yesterday was #NerdDay at #MontgomeryElementarySchool. In true fashion we, @FutureArtsNow! instructors, played along and dressed up in full nerd gear and taught our 55 student class of 5th and 6th graders. Does anyone remember these so called ‘themed’ days??
